This blog speaks to student editors of law journals stepping into a publishing environment, perhaps for the first time. Its purpose is to provide an historical and current context for that work, for the many hands and minds that briefly labor at it over the life of a journal.
Student editors have their plates full between course work and a journal or law review, among other extracurricular and job-securing activities. But there is quite a bit going on in law journal publishing and in scholarly journal publishing in general. This blog will cover some of those developments and will relay solutions and ideas from the field, both within law and from other disciplines.
It is hoped that these posts will provide harried and short-lived editors with a frame of reference as they navigate their journals within a digital environment that is increasingly sloughing of the old skin of print—and the processes and practices associated with it.
